Pounce, Wild Rat.
Basics
|Name| Pounce
|Aliases| Some more meaner rats call her "Scar" or "Packrat" but only if they're trying to be mean or insult her.
|Age| 2 years (going by cat age she would be a young adult)
|Gender| Female
|Affiliation| Rat Rebellion
Physical
|Coloration| gold with agouti stripes belly and blaze.
|Oddities| She has gold fur. She has scars over her right eye.
|Extras| She wears gold bracelets on both wrists as well as four gold tailbands. She also has a pale blue scarf around her neck and a clawless glove of the same color on her right paw.
|General Appearance| From Pounce's appearance you can tell she was a lab rat. Her main fur color is an odd gold with a gold tip at the end of her long pink tail. If she hadn't been expirimented on before she was even born you can tell she would have been an agouti rat for she has the coloration on her striped back, her belly, and a blaze on her face. Her eyes are dark brown-red and have scars over them, she also has nicks taken out of both of her ears. Fortunately, she wasn't blinded when she got the scar and it doesn't hamper her at all. Her eyes are very sharp and come in handy when she does what she does best... Her size helps as well. She is smaller than the average rat and some mistake her for a large mouse. She also appears to be quite delicate, but don't let that fool you...
Pounce doesn't wear too much clothes because too much would hamper her. What she does wear is a pale blue scarf that is usually always tied around her neck. She also wears one glove on her left paw that allows for her claws to be out so she can use them. On both of her paws she wears gold bracelets and on her tail she wears four tail-rings.
Mental
|Likes| Foraging for scrap parts/unused human supplies. Tinkering with old materials. Joking. Making things. Talking.
|Dislikes| Being made fun of or insulted. Big crowds. Her "inventions" being destroyed. Getting angry.
|Strengths| Smart. Is an inventor. Resourceful. Kind. Fast.
|Weaknesses| Too nice. Doesn't stand up for herself that often. Isn't very strong. Is really a packrat.
|Complete Personality| Pounce isn't the type of rat to get angry really quickly. In fact, she hates getting angry since it makes her feel guilty afterwards. So usually she's in a good mood (or so she has everyone think she is) and has a smile on her face, unless she's working. She always tries to be nice and kind to others and offers her help if she can. She always likes to help others out and she loves to talk and joke to them as well. One of her favorite things to do among talking is tell a joke and get others to laugh. She enjoys it immensely.
This golden rat loves to look around places wherever she can get to and find old human things so she can make "inventions". She's very smart and can usually fit two or more things together and make a new tool. So she spends a lot of her time looking for old things to fill her home with as well as her inventions. Other rats have seen her home and thus have given her the nickname of "Packrat". Pounce really doesn't like that nickname and would prefer for others to call her by her real name. However, Pounce seldom stands up for herself and will take a lot before she finally does. Although when she does finally take up for herself it isn't a pretty sight... She can make her words seem like they're full of venom and make you sting on the inside. Afterwards though, she usually feels guilty and thus she hates losing her temper with anyone.
History
|Parents| Mother- Briar, Father- Unknown
|Siblings| None...
|Complete History|
Pounce's mother wasn't born in the lab, she was born wild in a field where she met Pounce's father. They didn't really fall in love but it was only just a quick one-night. Later on, Briar found out she was pregnant with the rat's children. However, she had no idea where the male rat was so she decided to raise the babies on her own whenever she had them... Soon, things turned out for the worst... She was soon attacked by a cat and barely managed to escape with her life. The cat had viciously pounced on her and nearly killed and eaten her, had it not been for the human that intervened.
The human turned out to be a lab-worker that took her to his job. They quickly turned the mother rat into a lab experiment. She injected with all sorts of shots and medicine... Then, came the time for her to give birth. It turned out that all the injections she was given was for her baby. Needless to say that all the shots didn't work well, save for the fact that it helped lower the number of babies that Briar had to one. The only thing that happened was the child (who Briar deemed it fit to call Pounce after that fateful pounce the cat made on her to change her entire life) had a golden color and was very small. However, they didn't know how wrong they were...
Pounce's intelligence was raised substantially and her speed was enhanced as well. All of which she used to escape... One day when her cage was opened so she could be fed she bit the hand that fed her and while the human was yelling in pain she fled her cage. No one could catch her and soon she was free. She didn't know if her mother had followed her but she never really felt connected to her mother anyway. Briar had never shown her any love and it was obvious that she hadn't liked her. So, with no remorse she continued on her journey to a new life.
Since she hadn't really had any dealings with her own kind she didn't know what to do when she met her first rat. One of the king's minions... The encounter didn't turn out well and she was left with a scar over her eye before she could run away. That little ordeal decided for her that she would be on the side of the rebellion. Sh had heard the rat mention it before he attacked her, and if the rebellion rats weren't with a brute like him then she would side with them... She managed to find and talk to the leader and was quickly granted a position with them.
After Pounce started her new life she began to collect things to sate her boredom. Once she brought those things back to her home she would tinker with them until she would find new used for the combined items. Surprisingly, her inventions worked and she quickly gained renown among the rat world... Others would sometimes come to ask for something to be built for them, although some rats came and decided it was fun to make fun of her and trash her inventions... However, she just takes it all in stride and more often than not she gets more rats coming to marvel at her inventions than coming to mess them up...

|Sample Post|[/ul] From the plains and back to Sapphire Falls... It was a quite a long walk but Nightstalker and her captain had made pretty good time getting there. Now it was sunset, and the light of day was starting to turn to night. Night didn't mind though, this was her territory. She knew every inch of it like the pack of her paw, nothing really could scare her; the confidence in her stride bespoke of this.
She paused and looked back at Stella, a smile on her face. We are almost to the den." She could just imagine the smell of the falls now... Wait... She really could smell it. She really wanted to get back now so she set off again. This time at a trot.
She used her nose and followed the scent of freshwater, although she didn't really need to. She knew exactly where she was. Within mere minutes the lake was visible. She bounded forward and took a nice long drink of the water, the cold water quenching her thirst. When she lifted her head a few droplets of water clung to her chin. She gazed toward the waterfall as it pushed water into the lake. "That's where the den is located, Captain Stella, right behind those falls. There's a ledge you walk on to get behind the falls. Follow me closely."
The femme edged around to the cascading waters. Right behind a few bushes was the beginning of a ledge that was about a foot wide and it led behind the waterfall. "Step carefully, it gets a bit slippery farther up." Nightstalker remembered a time when she had been trotting along the ledge and had slipped and fell. She hadn't been hurt and fortunately it was just a lake to land in and not a river. All she had to do was swim out and try to get to the cave again without being injured.
With that, she took a step onto the stone ledge and carefully placed her foot one in front of the other. Making her way across at a decent walking pace. Before long she was in the cave... her home. Night sat down and waited for Stella to arrive into the cave. She breathed in the scent of the den. It smelled mostly of her, but before long the pack scent would be the most overpowering smell here... which was good. As she gazed around she saw why she had chosen this spot. First off, it was secluded and close to a source of water. Also, because of how big the cave was and what it included. There was an alcove off to one corner that could fit quite a few dogs and be comfortable, the cave was big enough to allow dogs to talk to each other with a bit of privacy if needed, and there was a large rock in the center of the room that could be used to rest on or to assemble the pack for meetings. The only thing that needed to be done was to bring in some moss or bird feathers maybe to soften up the alcove so it would be comfortable to sleep in.
